Whimsical, funky, and delightfully unrealistic—that's the heart of my art. I love turning scraps into quirky flowers, oddball journal pages, and anything else that strikes my fancy. I don’t believe in rules when it comes to creating; I follow inspiration wherever it leads. Sometimes that means stitching up fabric dolls or diving into clay just for the joy of it.

Fun Facts, Creative Quirks & Laurieisms
~ I can’t cut or draw a straight line to save my life and I’m thankful it works in my favor. lol
~ I don’t normally have a plan when I sit down to create but I usually have supplies in mind that I’m in the mood to use.
~ I would rather have fun creating than try to achieve perfection. If it’s not fun, I don’t want to do it.
~ I don’t paint realistic. In my art studio I want whimsy, wonky, unrealistic and funky.
~ Peel a juicy orange and get sticky fingers? No thanks! Get paint and glue on my fingers? No problem. lol
~ I love the smell of office supply stores.
~ I love wandering through antique shops looking for things to use in my art journals or old linens for sewing projects.
~ My first love is fabric.
~ I have quite a few sewing machines but my favorite sewing machine is my Singer 301a. I learned to sew on it and use it to this day.
